1934 MG PA Car No. 1127 Chassis No. PA1127 Engine No. 1383A 135P Body No. 711/1545 Body Type: B251 The MG Model P was produced from 1934 though 1936, during that time 2499 examples were produced. It was built as a replacement for the Model J. There were two series of the Model P, the PA and PB. The PA, used a more refined 847 cc engine as its Midget predecessor, with a new 3 bearing crank. It continued the basic look defined by the J type, with a fold-flat windscreen and spare wheel attached to the aft of the car. PA1127: Elegantly presented here is a prime and well sorted example of the desired PA Roadster. Titled as a 1933, the MG has undergone an extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration within the last decade. Every item throughout the entire vehicle was either replaced or preserved; top to bottom, no detail overlooked. The MG’s flawless cabin displays new carpeting and upholstery, refinished wood and polished metalwork; while the instrumentation remains original and untouched. This example lacks soft top assembly and side curtains. The beautiful glossy green exterior finish extends under the bonnet, wheel wells and across the drums complimenting the clean black undercarriage, suspension and inner firewall. Subtle olive green metallic paint certainly enhances the large wire wheels Several thousand dollars were spent restoring the PA’s engine back to new. The renowned British sports car restoration experts at Sports Cars Services revived the motor to a concours level showpiece. Bushings, seals, gaskets, rings, internal components and carburetors were all addressed during the restoration. All wiring and fuse panels have also been replaced on the roadster, resulting in a reliable modern 12v electrical system, including lamps and starter. A very healthy file of servicing receipts from the past 11 years, hand crank and spare accompanies the car. Elegantly restored inside and out! Makes for an excellent driver or show car!
