Y'all know that I've struggled with whether to do a DD this year and how to approach it. Since I ordered the OA DD kit and decided to make the theme of mine this year be "Have Your Selfie a Merry Little Christmas," I've gotten much more excited about the process. As of now, I still don't have an album. I want to use a 6 X 8 album since that's the size of the papers in the OA kit, but I didn't order one with my kit. I went to Michael's late Sunday afternoon to look for a SNAP album or a BH Project Life album, but my store had neither. I need to make a decision about this quickly. I'll prob check out the OA site and visit some other online stores to see what my options are. Update: I ordered an album last night on Amazon, and it should be here next week sometime. I went with the OA Daily Flash album that looks like it's kraft and red. (They labeled it poppy, but it looks red to me.) It was around $12 + $5 shipping I think; it seemed like a decent deal to me. You can see what I ordered here.) While I have the wonderful OA kit to use, I did decide to go ahead and pull together some other materials that I might like to use in this year's DD. Here are some pictures of those supplies. In thinking about my DD this year, I've been considering sketching out some of my pages. I did a quick search for 6 X 8 layouts and found the jackpot of sketches! Thank you Lisa Moorefield for sharing this on your blog! I'm def going to use these - you betcha. Also, some of you might be interested in the glittered Mod Podge I mentioned in this week's podcast about Christmas crafting. While in Michael's, I spotted it on the shelf and thought I'd include a picture of it here for your reference. I haven't bought any just yet, but it's definitely on my list. :) I'm still working on some planning ideas and want to make some base pages this week. Since it's after December first, so I'm already behind. That's okay, though, it will all work out just fine. (Keep repeating that to yourself as needed throughout the holiday season...) My hope is to work on my first week's pages this Sunday and be ready to share them with you next week. Stay tuned, folks! Tiff
