The designer Maxime de Keiser has created this interesting modern interpretation of the De Tomaso Mangusta in the historic 1965, originally designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and built until 1971 in Sun 401 units, of which only less than 170 working today. The original model, just 1.1 metres high, was characterized by its hood made of two sections with gull-wing opening. With his "Legacy Concept", de Keiser wanted to reinterpret a modern stylistic elements in the original version of the milestone, providing also stylistic ideas and technologies today. The designer has specified that "his" Mongoose "like the original, it would have to be spectacular and communicate a feeling of untamed strength and ferocity, recalling at the same time, the serenity of a cat at rest and elegance of an animal that doesn't need to scare anyone." In the photos that we propose, the Mangusta Green is a computerised reconstruction of the original model.
