Welcome back to a new year with us at Retro Rubber Challenge. We kick of the year with a theme challenge, Winter Wonderland. Of course, for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere, it's the height of summer so maybe a cooling challenge is just what we need! Because it doesn't really snow much where I live, I don't have a lot of snowy stamp sets but I do have the fabulous Mountain Air bundle from last year's January Holiday catalogue. This is what I've used because the icy mountain range is such a New Zealand image. I white embossed the mountain range onto Shimmery White cardstock, then water-coloured the mountains in Smoky Slate and the sky in Seaside Spray. On a second piece of card, I stamped the tree and water stamp in Pretty Peacock and water-coloured over it, then die-cut it. After adhering it over the mountain range, I used the Stitched Triangle dies to cut out the scene. The white base is embossed with the Absolutely Argyll folder. The scene was reassembled and popped up on dimensionals on the base. A couple of retired Faceted Gems in Seaside Spray lead the eye to the sentiment.
