Bing and Grondahl Porcelain Figurine 'Mary Girl with Doll' #1721. Made in Denmark, circa 1970-1983. Retired. Artist designer Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger. Her initials IPI are on bottom of figurine. Mark of Bing and Grondahl is also on bottom. This mark dates the figurine to 1970-1983. Bing and Grondahl was founded in 1853 by sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and merchant brothers Meyer Herman Bing and Jacob Herman Bing. Bing and Grondahl later merged with its primary competitor Royal Copenhagen in 1987. Figurine depicts a little girl with a bonnet holding her baby doll in her arms. Condition is very good to excellent, with no cracks, chips, or breaks. No crazing. Figurine measures approximately 7 1/2 inches in height.
