This beautiful old building has a store and appartments in the town center of Lagos in the Algarve area of Portugal. Both the building and street are tiled, a style very common throughout Portugal. Lagos has a 2000 year maritime history including an important role in the Portuguese Age of Discovery, and at one time, the center of European slave trade. It was an early settlement of the Carthaginians in the Punic wars against the Romans. Today the area is very popular because of it's beaches, restaurants and nightlife.
