Last week had some great things going on! 1. I got my second Covid shot. I am so glad it is done, but I did get fevered for two days and had to miss some work. I still say it is better than getting the disease or worrying about giving it to someone else. 2. My son came home from college to visit. I have missed him. 3. I got to tend four of my little grands last Saturday It was wonderful! I was able to cuddle with each of them individually after their naps. I also get to tend my other two this coming Saturday. Favorite quotes: "Grandma, you came for a sleepover!" Three-year-old shouted this while running full blast at me as I entered his house. "Frama, you came home!" Two year old said to me while racing her brother for a hug from me. 4. I joined a BOM by The Quilt Show called Color My World. I am anxious to go through my stash to select scraps and begin March's blocks, and I already have background fabric. I am two months behind but plan to do them in January and February of 2022. I absolutely love quilts with houses on them. This one is perfect for me! I participated in The Quilt Show BOM many years ago on a quilt called Star Crazy. This is how it turned out. I used fabrics from my stash that had a "granny" feel to them, so I called mine "Granny Went Star Crazy." I could not find the quilted photo, but is done. My Sister-in-Law Felicity and my cousin Anne made one with me. I ended up quilting Felicity's for her. You can see that mine looked pretty different from the others. Felicity's Anne's I have another BOM pattern from The Quilt Show that I have not made yet, but I absolutely love it! Someday... Thanks again Leeanna for the weekly party of positive thoughts!
