This bundle is a great resource for closely studying the US Constitutional amendments! All are word documents that can be edited to fit your unique needs. Here's what you'll get with this purchase: * Paraphrase Worksheet: Students will write every one of the 27 amendments, but they will need to use their own words. In order to complete these, they'll need to have access to the amendments of the U.S. Constitution, and then they'll provide a paraphrase of each one. This can be used as an in-class assignment, group work, or as homework. There are 7 pages total. * "Know Your Rights" Worksheet: A great worksheet that is both fun and challenging for students. It is all about the Constitutional amendments, and knowing our rights as Americans. This is a two-page worksheet and there are ten scenarios total. For each one, the student will need to determine whether or not any constitutional rights have been violated. They will mark yes or no, and then cite the # amendment that corresponds with the violation (if they determine it's a yes). You could assign it as homework, or use it as an in-class assignment. Once students have completed the work, it makes for some great discussions. * Reflection Questions: This is a brief one-page worksheet with 5 open-ended reflection questions about the amendments. Students will have the opportunity to provide their own opinions and ideas. * Matching Quiz: A one-page brief quiz in which students will read a brief description of the amendment, and then match it with the correct corresponding #. You'll probably want to use this one last, so students can demonstrate their understanding of the amendments. I would suggest using each of these in the order they are listed, but these are versatile tools that can be used however you see fit. They're very helpful for teaching about what the amendments are, what they mean (both literally and symbolically), and why this is important to each one of us. In addition to the four files above, I've also included: * Full list of the US Constitutional Amendments (For Your Convenience) * 4 ANSWER KEYS (for Paraphrase wksht, "Know Your Rights" wksht, Matching Quiz, and Reflection Questions). Total of 9 files. These are provided as editable docs and pdfs as well.
