This is the fourth theme from the series of 30 units for the Preschool-Kindergarten English Language Learners. The blog post will concentrate on the wrap up of the Numbers 1 to 10 unit and the Holidays that can be reviewed with the unit. The craft is always a fun way to show all what the students know and listen to new language as they move on working on the craft such as, glue, color, put, etc. This is a gumball machine. Students write a number on each gumball and color as you dictate. I assembled it using a plastic bag. Play by saying a number or a color and students touch the gumball. Take a look ! Number Unit Awards. There is an award for all the hard work to end the theme. I made a badge. Print it and add a pin on the back and have the students put on their shirts. Cardigan with numbers. I added the numbers template. Trace the numbers around small pieces of felt. Cut a small slit in the middle of the numbers. Just pass the button in between the slit. HOLIDAYS and the Numbers 1 to 10 Let's start with the numbers 1 to 10 with an Easter theme A set of the same Easter flashcards in a smaller size is available. I made another book to use for the EASTER Holiday. Take a look at the video. There is a printable game board for EASTER! St. Patrick's Day! Several teachers are starting to celebrate the Holiday with their students. Numbers Flashcards:use them to introduce the numbers or just as a review. There is also a set of St. Patrick's Day small cards for games in class or online teaching. Use the cutouts from the resource and play the same games but using the coins and the shamrocks cutouts for counting. Just two worksheets to practice listening. Dictate the color of each number. Teacher: Find number one! Color it black! (or orange depending on the worksheet) A set of Printable games for St. Patrick's Day. BINGO! Use the same template from the resource and use the cutouts to correspond to each number. Or have the students sort the numbers from the bingo into the pocket chart using the Leprechaun Numbers cutouts. This is a Shamrock feed box. I made mine using a cereal box. Use it with the Bingo numbers or any other number cards from the resource. A file folder game for St. Patrick's Day that students can use to play on their own alone or in small groups. And use the cards from the file folder game above to play games.Just tape them to clear plastic cups and start counting. A no fail St. Patrick's day game board. Just print and play with the St. patrick's Day pocket chart. A St. Patrick's Day, featuring the Leprechaun Number book. Students can do their own book or do it as a class book in which each student colors a page and then put it together and send it home to read with their parents. And, I added Valentine Numbers to the resource! Use all the other components from the resource to review the numbers with a Valentine Theme. There is a set of big flashcards to play games in class to review the numbers. Scroll around the blog and you will find many games to play that will suit the needs of your students. Then, there is a small set of cards to play in small groups or for online learning. Make your feed me box and have the students feed the groundhog as you dictate which number to introduce into its mouth. Teacher: Feed the groundhog number four. Students can put the numbers and say what number they are feeding. Here is an example. You can create numbers CDS. I recycled old CDs that I had sitting around the house and glued a number cutout to eah one. Have the students match the numbers small cards to the CDs. Also, have the students match the cards to the corresponding amount using manipulatives. If you have hearts that would be lovely. A printable game to wrap up Valentine's Day. A set of flashcards from 1 to 10, to review the numbers or play games. They are big enough for bigger groups in classroom settings. Scroll through the blog for so many ideas for using the flashcards. There’s a set of small cards numbers 1 to 10 to use for small groups teaching or even online. Halloween Worksheets. Just a few worksheets to spice up the lesson. Worksheet1. A simple listening worksheet. Teacher: Find number 1! Color number one green! Continue with the rest. Then, have the students point to each number as you name them. Teacher: Show me number two! What color is number two? Students: orange! Worksheet 2. A set of two tracing worksheets. The same as the one below. Do it as a listening activity and have the students say the name of the numbers with you! Then, students can cut the numbers and make cutouts for playing games in class. Worksheet 3. A set of cut and paste worksheets. Halloween Feed me bottle or box. I cut a soda bottle and glued the vampire cutout on it. Say a number and a student picks up the candy with that number and feeds the vampire. Match the candies cutouts to any of the other cutouts from the resource or any other cutouts that you might have. Another game is the Halloween matching card game. It’s simple and students can work in small groups. And do you need more games? Maybe for the Halloween party. Just print the game board, it comes in two different sizes. Adding new printables with the candy corn bag clipart. First of all flashcards to play multiple games. Print the candy corn mat and the cards. Students will match the numbers and the words to each bag. If you want to use clothespins, go for it. A specific worksheet to go with the candy corn counting.
