Erich Diekmann for Gelenka Tyskland, bent beech plywood, Germany, circa 1930. This chair is designed by the German designer Erich Dieckmann who was affiliated to Bauhaus. The chair is executed with typical bent plywood and a webbed back. The style is typical for prewar German design. Playful, bold curves and lines and experimental material. The chairs are modest yet refined by means of the large, curved armrests. The chair shows a lovely, warm patina.
