I’m not a fast food fan. Though the taste of a burger might be satisfying for a few minutes, the idea of ingesting fat and empty calories only to be hungry again an hour later makes me lose my appetite. Good for me! 🙂 That said, I love cooking fast food at home because I can control what goes in my dishes and make them healthier, all without compromising the taste. All the skeptics out there can talk to Alex. Before he met me, he ate at fast food restaurants two or three times a day. He hasn’t set foot in one for several months now (by choice) and prefers my salmon burgers, crab cakes, and homemade fries. Yeah, I’m pretty proud! This sloppy joe recipe is simple, quick to make (15 minutes), and makes great comfort food.
