Needle felted Goldfinch Made to your order Measures approx. 3" tall An adorable and chipper little goldfinch would make a cute addition to spring and seasonal decor. Each goldfinch is crafted using hand-carded wool roving. I pay special attention to each one and always reference photos of the real thing when creating them, each will be different but similar. Wool roving is delicately wrapped and needle felted into shape over a wire armature. Tiny toes are wire wrapped in wool, and talons are sculpted in beeswax. I use glass eyes for an authentic shiny appearance. The beaks are created without molds. Each is hand sculpted from silk clay and painted in acrylics. Realistic in size and feel.
