On our second week, let us introduce you to Hanna Huenlich, a freelance hairstylist and Chef de cabine for Germany's Next Top Model (GNTM).IF : Tell us what you think is the biggest challenge in a hairdressing career today ?HH : From my own experience, I have learned that it is important to have a strong will, to set goals high and to always be passionate about what you are doing. For me, it is important to accept any new challenge and to set my own standards - as high as possible.You never stop learning, but it is of great importance to keep your eyes open, be always present, track trends and go with them. Be well informed of news and trends and of course be able to present yourself properly. I would say social media has become essential in our industry and an important platform to show your work, connect with clients and other artists to make new contacts and to be inspired by others' work.IF : What’s the most enjoyable part of your current job ?HH : No day is like the other - this is what I enjoy the most. I love the variety and every new challenge. I made my greatest passion into a career and all of this can be connected to travel all over the globe. There is almost nothing else like that.IF : Why did you choose the path of hairdressing ?HH : At the age of 10, I already knew exactly what I wanted to become. As a teen, music videos excited me. I found it fascinating how important hair and make up are, what you can do with them and how to achieve such results. I wanted to know who are the people behind the camera and those looks so I started to follow hairstylists and make up artists. Way before my education as a hairdresser I started to cut, color and style my friends' hair ... to me, it was natural and they trusted me :) So it was already clear where my path would lead me.IF : What is your greatest strength ?HH : I have a very great willpower and passion for my job. Technically, my greatest strength is how I can immediately understand the nature and character of a hairstyle. I am an absolute team player and was able to experience over and over again
