Reading rhythmic patterns consisting quarter note, quarter rest, 2 eighth notes beamed, half notes and syncopa is addressed along with music dynamics (crescendo, decrescendo, forte and piano). The set of Lesson Plans and Visuals include: • 3 lessons each 4-10 minutes (2 pdf pages) plus an original speech/poem. The lesson plan includes detailed instructions for teaching the poem, rhythmic activities, instruments and dynamics to second, third or fourth grade. Additional adaptions and extensions are also addressed. • 16 slides (with 4 slides being teacher and student interactive) may be used to reinforce rhythmic reading and dynamics. You will have everything you need to teach all the lessons. It is a perfect piece to address curricular concepts while enjoying making music. The resource was designed to be projected onto your SmartBoard, Promethean, Mimio or Interactive Whiteboard and will run on both PC and Mac computers using your default internet browser.
