For those of you unfamiliar with Hershey-ets, they were Hershey's answer to M&M's, and I believe they were around as a packaged candy primarily in the 1950's and 1960's. They survived in the baking aisle at least until the 1980's. I've long found the later 60's version of Hershey-ets packaging to be very appealing, but I was never able to find one. So finding this earlier packaging, with such a fantastic combination of design, type work, and colors is pretty great. This is such a great representation of the design of the era, it evokes that 1950's sensibility seen in so many of the appliances of the time, or the cars. I believe this package design lasted until 1963.
