A crochet pattern for a cabled winter hat, crocheted with the slip-stitch-technique - using entirely slip-stitches. This is a stretchy, ribbed hat with cabled panels. The cables are created with short-rows, and this is the first pattern ever to describe a short-row cable. The technique is explained in text and step-by-step photos. There are also explanations for the overall short-row shaping and the final crochet-seaming. The hat measures about 24 cm from brim to top and circumference is flexible about 54-60 cm. With one ball of this yarn it will make a great warming winter hat. Skill level: required skills - back loop only slip stitch, front loop only slip stitch, inverse back loop only slip stitch. Note: The pattern is written using David Burchall’s terminology for slip stitch crochet. Note #2: The suggested hook size works for a slip-stitcher that does not work loosely. If you are a “loose slip stitch crocheter” you can probably use a 6-7 mm hook! See also my article on slip stitch crochet: http://virkstaden.blogspot.se/p/blog-page_33.html
