This juvenile hummingbird is not yet wary of people. We could approach within 3- to 4-feet for good close-up photos. Based on emerging coloration, I believe this is a juvenile male Anna's Hummingbird. When an adult hummingbird would fly close, he would fluff his feathers and verbally beg for food, which indicates that he was barely out of the nest.
