This stencil can be used with common paints or joint compound for raised effects.Raised plaster stenciling is EASY! Simply tape one of our plaster stencils to the wall or project. Smear the stencil openings with joint compound. Gently remove the stencil to expose the raised design. Allow it to dry then paint over the design to seal it. Paint can also be added right to the joint compound to pre-tint it when you want a colored design. O When it comes to re-doing your kitchen cabinets, there's nothing more exciting than seeing them come to life with a textured design. The photos say it all! Look at that detail on once plain cabinets. The design looks like the cabinet doors have been hand carved! Use this technique to create this luscious design on craft items as well such as boxes, shelves, etc. This stencil set included the background pictured and a beaded border design. Use the border around the inside of the cabinet recess (or around the edges of the door) and then use the intense stencil design in the center. This design can also be used on door panels, as an all over wall design or to create a beautiful frame or panel on a wall or ceiling. Give it a try! The look is to die for! Use common joint compound (also called Wall Mud). It comes pre-mixed for you in a bucket and is available in the paint section of most home and hardware stores and acts just like frosting. Just get some on a small trowel or putty knife and spread evenly over the top of the stencil, lift the stencil and there's the design! It's a cinch and a total ball! Now just let it dry. Either paint the color of your wall as a simple raised design or paint with craft or stencil paints. Joint compound can be pre-tinted if you choose or Color washes can also be done with wall glaze. Plaster Stencils can also be used with wood putty for raw furniture, venetian plasters, tile grout, portland cement or any other product that dries hard.
