The queen of England washes her face and hands in a basin. She lets her ladies in waiting remove the clothes she slept in and help her slip into a finely woven linen smock. What will she wear today, she wonders? It isn’t a trifling question. For Tudor women like her, dress is a kind of language, o

All women who had their own remarkable histories and deserved much more than how history has remembered them. This shops mission is to shine a fresh light on historical figures that have been untold, forgotten or misremembered.
King Henry VIII had six wives, but none of them have captured the public's imagination like the second, Anne Boleyn.
why I freaking love her: 1. she was a refreshingly hands-on mother to her daughter Elizabeth 2. she was witty and a guy's girl 3. she had the self-respect to refuse the king's advances when she was propositioned until he offered to make her his wife. 4. she made Cardinal Wolsey pay dearly for thwarting her first true love (he made her guy marry someone else) - now that's bitchiness put to good use! 5. she was witty, extremely bright, and inspired some beautiful poems by Thomas Wyatt 6. she was not a conventional beauty (plainish, dark hair, dark eyes and olive complexion) when pale beauty was the norm - in that way as in many others she used her difference to her advantage. 7. She conducted herself with grace and dignity even in her darkest days, when she had every right to be a basketcase. all in all, Anne Boleyn kicked ass. for more on her, visit the source of this picture: www.tudorplace.com.ar/index.html
