This handmade fabric and lace junk journal is overflowing with vintage laces, fabric ruffles, and loads of tags. The cover is a sage green damask fabric with a gorgeous dyed lace over the fabric. Tied with a lace bow there is also a removable matching silk floral arrangement that a sweet addition. The hard cover measures 7” x 5” x 1 1/2” with two signatures. There is a total of 34 pages or 68 pages back and front. There are tea and coffe dyed papers, book pages, receipts, music paper, and assorted vintage papers. The digitals used were primarily from Amity Bloom collections. The theme of “wings” is carried throughout the journal . I love the idea of the wings as a symbol of freedom, hope, and spirituality. We should all spread our wings and soar as strong, creative and capable women. I’ve included lots of tags and ephemera for even more journaling space as well as extra lace and fabric pockets so that you can include your own memorabilia. The pretty sage green color is carried throughout the journal in the fabric, ribbons, laces, and trims. This would make a beautiful gift (as well as a gift to self.) It would also look lovely just sitting out as decor, or as a “look” book. This a very special book that is sure to be admired and passed down through generations .
