The Grand Duchess, Davida du Chovny, was a modern woman for her times. She believed in the Industrial Revolution and, in a thoroughly modern way, became the poster girl for progress. I had fun with steam punking the Duchess, especially finding a new use for hot hair balloons which here serve as the top of her gown and disguise her flat-chestedness.
