Looking for a fun way to introduce William Shakespeare to students? Need an engaging way to start your next Shakespeare unit? Then, you’re going to love this fact hunt, Shakespeare doodle poster, and “Will’s Quill” project! There are two activities in this resource. One activity is a Fact Hunt and William Shakespeare Doodle Infographic Poster. The other activity requires students to do a little bit of research on William Shakespeare before turning their work into a quill inspired by Shakespeare’s writing tools. Both activities are engaging and informative. They’re the perfect way to start any Shakespeare unit! About the Fact Hunt & William Shakespeare Infographic Poster Students will learn critical facts about William Shakespeare while filling in a Doodle Infographic Poster. They’ll be up on their feet, rotating around the classroom, collecting facts, and learning! The facts provide background information on Shakespeare life, accomplishments, style, and impact. The result is a visually appealing and informative doodle-style infographic poster about William Shakespeare. Its extra-long size makes it fun, too! About the “Will’s Quill” Project After students learn about William Shakespeare, they’ll have the chance to modify a regular writing utensil like a pen or pencil into “Will’s Quill.” First, they’ll conduct quick research on Shakespeare as they add 3 new facts to the quill shape. They’ll also copy a quote from Shakespeare that they like on their quill shape. Next, they’ll cut out the shape and use it to modify a pen or pencil. This craft is a great way to extend and connect their learning to Shakespeare. Both resources require students to be creative while learning. They can be combined and completed as a single lesson or spread over two days.
