The oaks and hills of the east bay interior at Joseph Grant Park. I had only ever ridden my mountain bike into the hills. And I had seen lots of wildlife, including wild hogs. But I had never taken my camera along. The first thing I noticed was that the birds were much faster to fly off when a human came by than they are in the water. I spotted a hawk in a tree and in the time it took me to sight the branch, it was gone. The other thing I noticed is that the trails are long, which works well on a bike. But the views are wonderful up the hills, it is worth the hike.
