The Temple of Heaven is a Taoist temple complex in Beijing, the largest of its kind in the entire People's Republic of China. It was built in the year 1420 and both the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty used it to ask for heavenly intercession for harvests and to give thanks to Heaven for the fruits obtained.
