My cousin graduated from High School a couple weeks ago, and I just had to share what we gave him as his gift! Let me first say, that he loves candy, of any kind so when I came up with this idea, it was a no brainer, I had to do it..It was just a matter of finding all the candy I needed, which ended up not being that hard, Walgreens pretty much had everything I needed! So here it is..a candy card!! so here is what it says and the candy I used: "Congratulations! we can't give you an Orbit (gum) around Mars or a trip to the Milky Way so how about some words of wisdom. Don't be an Airhead, go to class. You can't just Rolo (ver) and go back to bed, you need to be a Smartie to Skor a 100 Grand Payday. When you need a Fastbreak from school you can head to Pats (a local pizza joint, that was a gift card) for a snack. Don't just be a Nerd, you need to have Mounds of fun and Almond Joy yourself! We're very proud of you and love you to Pieces (Reese's) P.S. Stay away from the Mary Jane" It was a hit! and the candy was probably all gone that night! (ok maybe not that night) It's so fun and easy to make and if you have a candy lover, they will really enjoy this, I did like putting an actual gift card on too though, so then they don't just get a bunch of candy.
I came up with this candy gram for my sister's college graduation, thanks to Pinterest (my newest addiction). I came up with a poem that would fit her graduation day, and the accordinating candies. I bought a poster board at the Dollar Tree, used duct tape to attache each candy, and a sharpie to write the words. It was very easy and fun to do :) Everyone loved it!

Hello everyone! I thought I'd join the trend of taking a look back at my most popular posts of 2013. I didn't start blogging until March, so technically, I still haven't been doing this a full year. :) I also went back and enlarged a lot of pics from these posts, so hopefully they're more enjoyable now. :) Anyway, here is a look back at my most popular posts. EASY CROCK POT POTATO SOUP RECIPE This one still surprises me to this day. I mean, I never thought of this as a "recipe" blog. It really is good and extremely easy. :) FALL DECOR PART ONE I think we all enjoy a good home tour, and they're especially fun around the holidays. One thing I've learned is that Fall is BIG in blogland. Lots of bloggers start to decorate very early, and now I know why. You need plenty of time to get in everything you want to share. :) THE KITCHEN TOUR A few things have changed since my kitchen tour. Like how I replaced these valances with my NO SEW KITCHEN CURTAINS. I still think I might paint my cabinets white, but we'll see. :) CHRISTMAS DECOR PART ONE I had so much fun decorating for Christmas this year! What made it even more fun was that I got to share it with all of you! :) I think everyone enjoys seeing all kinds of holiday decor. MORE BACKYARD GARDEN PICS I had a lot of fun looking back through my garden posts. I posted several times from Spring through Fall showing how my garden looks at different times of the year. FALL DECOR PART THREE - THE KITCHEN Well, here we are again with another Fall decor post. I think after the hot Summer, we were all ready to enjoy a little Fall inspiration. :) MAKING THE SHOWER DOOR LIKE NEW AGAIN AND A FEW OTHER TIPS Oh y'all...I was so frustrated with our shower door. I'd tried everything to get the hard water stains off, and nothing was working. That is, until I found a $1 solution at Dollar Tree. ;) GRADUATION PARTY/GIFT IDEAS My sweet neighbor made my son this very clever graduation gift. I included lots of our graduation party decor in this post too. Fun times! A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS This was one of my personal favorite posts to do. I've always loved sharing great products with my family and friends. If I find something that works, I just have to spread the word. I also included my recipe for homemade eye makeup remover in this post. A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS PART TWO You all must enjoy learning about fun, new products as much as I do, because rounding out the top ten posts is my Favorite Things Part Two. :) I'm glad y'all enjoy these kinds of posts, because I'm currently working on a Favorite Things Part Three...coming soon! :) I want to thank each and every one of you who take the time to visit my blog. My grandson, Royce, graduates from Fenton High tomorrow. Fenton's school colors are orange & blue. I made him this candy-gram. It reads: You took on the SMARTIES, the AIRHEADS, & the NERDS to SKOR a diploma. This is nothing to SNICKER(S) about. Soon you will have a PAYCHECK of ZERO to 100 GRAND. Don't be a BUTTERFINGER or play TWIX. Your future is GOOD & PLENTY. Enjoy the SIMPLE PLEASURES. You can be FAMOUS (AMOS), go shopping to New YORK, become a STAR(BURST), climb the ANDES or even ORBIT the MILKWAY. It's all UP2U. Love you always, Parknslide Gramma.
