La (Cedrina, Erba luigia, Limonina, Limoncina, Limonetto, Verbena odorosa), era precedentemente indicata come Lippia Citrodora, ad onore e memoria del naturalista italiano Augusto Lippi. USI IN CUCINA Si usano le foglie di Limonina per aromatizzare olio ed aceto, bevande, dolci ed ogni piatto che richiede l’aroma del limone; per aromatizzare il tè; per preparare fragranti bevande alternative ed anche per decorare i piatti di portata. Macerate in alcol, secondo diverse ricette, le foglie di Limonina offrono casalinghi liquori aperitivi, stimolanti e digestivi. PROPRIETA’ La medicina popolare ascrive alla Aloysia Triphylla o come la si voglia chiamare, principalmente proprietà antinevralgiche, antispasmodiche, eupeptiche e stomachiche, ma anche sedative, carminative ed insettorepellenti. Per il suo intenso profumo è una delle piante maggiormente usate in erboristeria come correttivo, per apportare alle tisane caratteri organolettici sicuramente piacevoli.
