Trochanteric bursitis is an inflammation of the bursa in the hip. The main symptom of trochanteric bursitis is pain outside the hip at the tip of their thighbone. It can be very painful, especially at night, and can interfere with daily life. This condition can be treated at home, and in severe cases, with surgery.
