Every year, televised competition shows discover incredible hidden talents that otherwise may have went unrecognized. This year, America's Got Talent uncovered a huge star when 28-year-old Brian Justin Crum took to the stage and performed an iconic hit from the 1970s. The San Diego native introduced himself to the judges, saying it is his greatest dream to become a singer. He then took a deep breath and softly started singing one of the most popular songs recorded by the British rock band Queen, called "Somebody to Love." As the performance progresses, Crum's voice grows in volume and power, and some of the high notes he hits are chill-inducing. After hitting one particular note, judge Howie Mandel couldn't help but remark, "Wow!" What's just as impressive is the amount of passion Crum poured into his performance. You can tell he was connected to every word he sang, which gave the song a high level of emotion that made him stand out from other contestants. The entire crowd was on its feet before Crum even finished singing, and once he wrapped up the song he was met with showers of cheers and applause. But what did the judges think? As it turns out, all four of the judges gave Crum a standing ovation as well, including the hardest one to impress, Simon Cowell. "The truth is, you are a fantastic singer," Cowell told Crum. "This is why these shows exist, to give people like you with huge talent an opportunity." All four judges voted to send Crum through to the next round of the competition.
