Haus Stupp, Köln, 1977 Heinz Bienefeld, architect There are so many images I could post of this house, each one showing a different facet of the structure. I chose this one because it is one of the few images where one gets a feeling for the entire house, including courtyard, terrace and 'outdoor livingroom'. This is taken from the dining area. Bienefeld had a habit of installing windows which were 'built-in', meaning that the frames were reduced to a minimum, but it also meant that in case one of the panes broke or went 'blind', as is the case here, it couldn't be replaced without some major renovation work.
