Bloating often originates from an overburdened or sluggish liver and associated digestive issues. A sluggish liver can lead to bloating even at the sight of food, a common experience for many, including myself in my 20s and 30s. Toxic heavy metals stored in the liver can migrate to the intestines, damaging their lining and disrupting gut bacteria balance, further contributing to bloating. Diets high in fats, whether from plant-based or animal sources, increase bile production and reduce stomach acid levels, promoting bloating. Insufficient raw leafy greens in the diet can also worsen bloating; consuming raw greens before cooked ones may help alleviate symptoms and support digestive health. // Video Credit: Instagram @healingfromtheinsidenout
