I was enamored of John the Mule before I ever rode him. He helped my friend regain her confidence in riding after a very bad spill from a horse. He has carried men, women, and children over hundreds of miles of trails. He is as sweet as he is sensible- he loves treats, but he is so gentle that you must place the treat in his mouth. This weekend, I had the privilege of riding him on the trails. He is the Energizer Bunny of equids! He has a remarkably efficient and speedy walk that can outlast a horse- he's gaited so he also can do a nice running walk. He is nimble and careful on the trail. Three cheers for John!
