The chair is expertly constructed from solid wood with wedged mortise and tenon joints throughout. The chair features a hoop back supported by 6 finely turned spindles., The back is further reinforced with a brace back, which consists of 2 additional spindles stretching from the top of the back to the tail of the seat. The saddle shaped seat is mounted on 4 splayed turned legs supported by a turned H stretcher. The chair is in good antique condition with age appropriate wear. The finish is original with an authentic time-worn patina. The chair is usable as is, but would greatly benefit from having the joints being tightened and re-glued. Please see photos for more details on condition. Each chair measures 35.5" tall, 19" wide, and 22" deep with a seat height of 17.5 inches.
