Hand bound and personalised cyanotype notebook with exposed chain stitch spine. Original cyanotype artwork on the cover made with ferns, leaves, feathers and flowers. These cyanotypes were made in the Birmingham sunshine with plants and feathers foraged from the countryside and my garden. Cyanotype is a historical photographic process where chemicals are painted onto the surface of the paper or fabric in subdued lighting. Once dry the paper is placed in the sun with objects on held down with glass. The sun exposes the chemicals. The paper is then washed in water and the exposed areas of the paper turn blue. Each notebook is completely unique. Cover design in menu will show the corresponding photo. COVER: Blue & white cyanotype on 300gsm watercolour paper. Inside cover may have blue marks from the cyanotype process. Choose your foil colour from the swatch photo. One line of text included in the price, 7.5cm in length. Keep out of direct sunlight.
