GAUGE23 sts = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch. KNITTER'S NOTES Some knitters have trouble with the thumb directions. It is a wordy patch, isn't it? Stick it out though, because the thumb bind-off is quite tidy. It might help to have someone read the directions out loud to you. Pam points out that while buttons are optional, if you add them, you create a left and a right glove. Otherwise your gloves are reversible. Something to consider!
