Also known as the 'Horned God,' it's believed that the legend of Krampus was eventually assimilated into Christianity and slowly became part of the lore that developed into what it is today. Since the 11th century, Krampus has slowly morphed into a creature who works with St. Nicholas to capture children who misbehave in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
