Our crochet toucan is not a common bird. It enjoy looking mysterious and self-confident but to tell the truth it is a little embarrassing and likes comfort, nature and affectionate embraces. You need to know how to crochet a magic loop, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, to make an increase and decrease. YARN: you can use any smooth yarn of any structure, any thickness and color. All the details and accessories of the toucan are crocheted with a yarn of the same thickness. I used the cotton/acrylic yarn 160m/50g (Sport/5ply or DK/8 ply) and hook 1,5 mm (B/1). You can use the hook of the other size, matching for your yarn. SIZE OF THE READY TOY: the height of the finished toucan is 14 cm (5.51”), the length is 21 cm (8.27”), if using the pointed yarn.
