This dresser-top jewelry cabinet is designed as a smaller alternative to the Craftsman Jewelry Armoire listed in my shop. The larger armoire requires a serious commitment of floor space, perhaps even the rearrangement of a room. The cabinet listed here is sized to sit atop a dresser instead. The examples shown are constructed of quartersawn white oak with red oak stain (first two pictures) and red elm with red mahogany stain (remaining 3 pictures) All are finished with shellac polished to a satin sheen. Drawer sides and backs are constructed of poplar, and drawer bottoms are 1/4" hardboard lined with black felt. Note that the back of the cabinet is solid and as well-finished as the front. If you're placing it on a dresser with a mirror, you don't have to worry about seeing the back of a poorly finished cabinet that's only intended to be seen from the front. Measurements: Overall Height: 18-3/4" Overall Width: 18-1/8" Overall Depth: 15" Under-lid compartment: 13-1/8" wide, 13" long, 2" deep Drawers: 12" wide, 12" long, 1-7/16" deep Side cabinets have 1" clearance between the closed door and the back wall An under-lid mirror is not included on this example, but can be at your request. Drawer dividers are included; a 6x6 grid of 1 3/4" squares in the first two drawers, and a 3x3 grid of 3 3/4" squares in the next two drawers. If you prefer a different layout, please specify with your order. Cost of shipping is included in the listing price. (Contiguous U.S. only)
