I challenged myself to make some longer necklaces this fall. It's not my comfort zone, and I felt my work was getting too stale. I wanted to make some longer pieces, yet still capture my eclectic style. The travler was born, as I tried to use many beads, from many places and times. The focal is a fossilized sea urchin, the wings are copper clay- for travel, the beads below the focal is marsha neal, some kind of opal drop, antique brass bells from india, handmade copper swirl connectors, pearls, and lots and lots of gemstones. This baby is long- 28-30"! I am happy with my long necklace and will continue to add them to my inventory.
