Aelita is a refined crossover sweater that is knitted seamlessly from the top down. You cast-on stitches for the shoulders then work the back flat. You then pick-up the shoulder stitches to work the front flat. Pieces are reunited at the underarms on a large circular needle to be worked until the waist. Then the rest of the body is worked in the round using a cable rib pattern. Stitches are then picked-up around the arm openings to knit the arm in the round. The cuff are also worked using the cable rib pattern.
