KNITTING PATTERN ~ If you are looking for a special afghan to knit for a special baby in a botanical design, this is it! I have called this "Hydrangea", because of the floral pattern that I chose for the center panel; it is reminiscent to me of beautiful blue hydrangeas, which I have blooming in my garden right now! They are the inspiration for this afghan! The yarn is both eco-friendly and economical! I used Egyptian cotton, and the yarn was less than $25 to complete the entire blanket! NOTE: This is not the finished product, but a PATTERN to make the finished product. The pattern consists of lace panels with the center floral design. I have knit this afghan in a gorgeous shade of blue which is actually entitled "Sky Blue"--Etsy's color of the year! If someone likes this project but wants an easier version, she/he could substitute an easier stitch for the side panels. Instructions are included in both written and chart form for the hydrangea panel. Nupps are used for the flower, and I have linked to an instructional video for this. I would call this an intermediate level project. All patterns utilize standard US terminology. Feel free to contact me if I can assist you in any way. I want you to be successful, but to most of all HAVE FUN! Pattern copyrighted by ModernVintageKnitsCo
