A breath-taking one-of-a-kind Art Deco Style diamond and sapphire twist cocktail ring set in platinum. THis particular piece was designed by the expert jeweller Oscar Heyman for David Gumbiner in the early 1930's. The ring prominently features a central old European brilliant-cut diamond which is four claw-set in an open-back platinum setting. This is then surrounded by a double spiral of channel-set calibre-cut sapphires. To finish the design, each shoulder is grain-set with five old mine-cut and transitional cut diamonds. This ring is currently a finger size L but can be resized upon request! The central diamond is approximately 1.27 carats, G/H colour, VS2 clarity. The melee diamonds are approximately 0.40 carats in total, F/G colour, VS/SI clarity. Sapphires approximately 0.82 carats in total. Gross weight: 10.56g.
