Rose Campion has been grown in gardens since the Victorian Times. It is often referred to as a passalong plant as the seeds are shared between family and friends. Rose Campion is a great perennial/ biennial for informal and cottage style gardens. The soft grey foliage will form a neat clump in the first year. The second year the plant is covered in rich deep magenta flowers. The flowers and foliage offer a striking contrast. I often let campion reseed around the garden and it is a great "weaver" plant mixed with other perennials. The plants can be deadheaded after flowering to prevent reseeding. I never seem to have too much of this easy care plant. Rose Campion grows best in full sun and very well drained soil. I let mine reseed on a dry rocky slope. I never need to provide supplemental watering. The plant can reach 2- 3 feet when in bloom and is hardy in zones 3-9. All seeds come with complete growing instructions. I will include seed starting pointers and other cultivation tips. Each packet contains 45 + seeds.
