The Giant Pacific Octopus is one of the largest cephalopods! They are intelligent and massive yet only live about 2 years! They are common to the coast of California, Washington and Oregon and love cold water. These are some of my favorite creatures on Earth! This is one of my most popular patterns, you can easily make an octopus in about 1.5 hours! You can use any size or shape of yarn (bumpy irregular yarns just make it look more realistic!). This pattern is suitable for beginners who know how to crochet in the round, it also has some beginning sculpting that you will learn while creating the eye bulges! This pattern is 12-14" long at full arm stretch. Luckily this pattern is completely scale-able so you can use any size yarn with a corresponding hook and the pattern will still come out perfectly proportioned! You will need 2 balls worsted weigh yarn OR 1 ball bulky yarn, 5.0mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, 10-12mm safety eyes, Fiber Fill or another stuffing, scissors.
