Good morning Stone Harbor, NJ I thought Hurricane Earl might have left some dramatic clouds behind but today's sunrise was rather bland. I took some long exposures using a tripod and a self-timer since I didn't have my remote. Afterward I went over to the bird sanctuary. I remembered to reset my aperture to f/5.6 and adjusted the ISO. Within ten minutes a beautiful magnolia warbler landed on an unobstructed perch just a few feet from me. I lifted the lens, locked the focus, pressed the shutter and listened to the beep, beep, beep, beep, beep of the 10 second self-timer as the bird flew away.
