I've been wanting some new fingerless gloves, but couldn't find just exactly what I wanted. You know I enjoy sewing, especially quick projects like this. Heather gray sweatshirts are a staple around here! There is always one with a hole or a stain needing to be thrown away a good upcycle. This one has a big stain all down the front of it. (Sewing Tip: I don't own fancy sewing weights. I just use whatever is handy that is kind of heavy to hold my patterns in place. My snow man collection is currently all over the house, so I grabbed a couple for this project!) With my cat's help ;-) I found THIS PATTERN and cut it from the sleeves of my stained sweat shirt. I didn't want to mess with the cuff and so, just sort of cut around it. OK. That made it a bit wonky at the bottom. When cutting, I left enough room to hem the top and the thumb hole. Here it is all sewn. And here are my "new" fingerless gloves! Once they are on and the cuff is stretched a bit on my arm, the bottom doesn't have that wonk effect at all. I even polished my nails for the photo! How are you staying warm this winter? ;-) Marci
