This, unmarked bone china “Neo Rococo Pear Shape on Pedestal Foot” teapot was made by Samuel Alcock & Co. manufacturers of Porcelain, Parian, and Earthenware at Cobridge and at the Hill Pottery, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England c.1845, see “Anthology of British Teapots” by Michael Berthoud & Philip Miller page 328, plate 1963. The teapot has a molded spout, a twisted loop finial, a complex split twisted handle and is raised on a molded pedestal foot. It has a 20-hole diamond shaped strainer. It is decorated with a hand painted king’s rose pattern in pink, blue and green. It is 8" tall to the top of the handle and 10" from handle to spout.
