If you're waiting on getting the Silhouette CAMEO 4 to see how the rotary blade works, I have a sneak peek for you!! Unfortunately the Silhouette rotary blades are not out yet, so I haven't been able to test it, but I can show you a video of the new CAMEO 4 rotary blade cutting felt! This demo of the Silhouette CAMEO 4 cutting felt was demoed at the new machine's launch party in September. You'll see that felt can be cut without any type of stabilizer or backing using the CAMEO 4 rotary blade. The felt was placed directly on the Silhouette cutting mat and the rotary blade must be placed in Carriage 2. By the way, the mat looks a little different because they have updated it with .25" grid lines, but otherwise it is the same. You can use old your cutting mats in CAMEO 4 as well. The price of the Silhouette CAMEO 4 rotary blade will be $19.99 when it goes on sale. It's expected to be available in late October or early November. If you purchase a Silhouette CAMEO 4 Bundle from Swing Design (and they're already starting to ship), they will send you a coupon for 40% off the CAMEO 4 specialty blades (including the rotary blade) to be used when they become available.
