Rocco "Gramps" DeGrazia (1897 - 1978), original Outfit capo who was likely demoted later to serve under Sam Battaglia. One of the first Chicago bigshots to move into large-scale narcotics trafficking. Also considered a "director" in the local gambling racket. Record (1914): burglary, larceny, narcotics, income tax evasion (convicted). Other associates: Rocco Fischetti, Tony Capezio, Claude Maddox, Louis Stacy. Owned & operated the Casa Madrid Club, a gambling establishment at 171 25th Ave., Melrose Park, IL., & lived in the same building.
