I have compiled lists of therapeutic questions to use with children or youth in counseling sessions. The topics are: 1- Divorce 2- Feelings & Coping 3- Social Skills 4- Study skills 5- Self esteem You can also check out version 2 of Questions for Counseling with the following topics: 1- Anger 2- Worry & Anxiety 3- All About Me 4- Grief 5- Self-Regulation https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Questions-2-for-Counseling-anger-worry-all-about-me-grief-self-regulation-4036921 ** Note: these questions can be adapted to use with pretty much any game. This is a great ice breaker and a way to focus on specific topics that the child may be struggling with. Suggested setup: 1) Print pages 3-12 (double sided) 2) Laminate 3) Using a popular block-building game in which you stack blocks 3x3, use a label maker or permanent marker to put a # on every block from 1-48. 4) Time to play! Choose a topic that relates best to the child you're working with and use that list of questions during the game. You (or the child) will push a piece out of the tower, and then will ask the other player the question that corresponds to the # that is on their chosen block. ** Alternative way: If your blocks are not numbered, you can either close your eyes and pick a # on the sheet of paper, OR, cut up small numbers (1-48), put in a bowl or hat, and then choose a number each turn.
