FIT TIPS FROM CAROLE: This coat is generously sized - so please read the chart and we would suggest that you choose the size that most closely matches your dogs stats! its not perfect . . . but between considering the weights, adjustments and back lengths the sizes are fairly accurate. Note:Size XL can fit dogs up to maybe 95 LBS especially if the dog is of slim build!XXS fits best for dogs between 5-8 LBS especially if your dog is longer and taller!Weight is just the starting point, because the dog coat may fit smaller or larger dogs depending on the dog's shape. EXAMPLE if your dog weighs 22 LBS and is thin, with a back length of up to 15", then the SMALL would fit even though we say up to 20 LBS.
